The 2024 Copa America will be played, for the second time in history, in the United States, as a kind of rehearsal for the 2026 World Cup to be held jointly with Mexico and Canada.

The 48th edition of the tournament, which has been played since 1916 and was known as the South American Championship in terms of national teams, will kick off on June 20 in Atlanta, at the Mercedes Benz Stadium, with the opening match between the defending champions Argentina, facing Canada.
