The Beckham's story of money, sex, power…and infidelity: The Rebecca Loos Effect

The House of Beckham: Money, Sex and Power’, Tom Bower‘s book about superstar couple David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, brings to light explosive revelations about one of the world’s most famous marriages.

The author of the book, which will be released on June 20, claims in a preview of the book published by The Mirror that Victoria Beckham slapped her husband, David, “hard across the face” after allegations that he had had an affair with Rebecca Loos, his then personal assistant.

“Once the show was over, they disappeared into their villa…. while everyone was asleep, a journalist looked out of the window of the Beckham‘s villa. Victoria was slapping Beckham hard across the face. Beckham, famous for his ‘short fuse’, did not retaliate,” says Tom Bower.

David and Victoria talked about their “most difficult period” in Netflix documentary

Rebecca Loos‘ decision to go public with her affair with David Beckham, which the former footballer denies, led Victoria to say in the Netflix documentary that the fallout was the couple’s “most difficult period”: “We were against each other.”

Loos sold the story of her affair with Beckham to ‘News of the World’ after being fired by Beckham‘s SFX agency.

Shortly afterwards David and Victoria sold a report of a romantic holiday in Courchevel to convey the couple’s normality.

“There were some horrible stories that were hard to deal with. It was the first time Victoria and I had experienced that kind of pressure in our marriage,” Beckham himself admits in the Netflix documentary about their lives.
