Nacho to leave Real Madrid for MLS

Nacho Fernandez has decided to end his time as a Real Madrid player on June 30, as reported by MARCA and he’s already chosen his next destination as he pursues his desire to embark on a new adventure by heading to the MLS.

The captain of Los Blancos has left behind other offers with a more economic rewards as his continuity in the world of football goes through the North American league.

MESSI AWARD: Messi’s impact on MLSMARCA

As MARCA.com reported at the time, the idea has matured throughout the season and although during the previous year he moved very close to saying goodbye, on that occasion he changed his mind and continued for another season.

Now nothing new has moved him as his destiny will be in the United States with the incentive of being captain, something that came with Karim Benzema‘s farewell, has been more than fulfilled.

They have lifted the Spanish Super Cup; they will do the same with LaLiga and the dream of the Champions League is still alive as they look to dump Bayern Munich out of the competition.

Change in Munich

Nacho hasn’t had any doubts throughout the season and as soon as it started, it was clear that the circumstances were not right to continue one more season in the heart of Spain.

The last few Champions League games has confirmed it. The final push to dispel any doubts, so to speak, came with the change in Munich, a circumstance that he did not fully understand.

His degree of commitment is beyond doubt and at no time will he give up. A professional to the max, it is in his mind to give everything in the moments he has left as a Real Madrid player, a club that, even if he leaves, will never be out or far from his mind.

Nacho’s other options

His departure is not a question of money but of trying other circumstances other than football. If it were for the former, he would have already signed for a team in the Saudi league, but that’s not the case. The other possibility, that of playing in Europe, has been there, but at the moment, his decision to travel to the MLS is firm.

Inter Milan were very interested during last season, but the reversal of their desire for a change of scenery ended with the possibility of Nacho becoming part of the Italian champions.
