Mbappe's future: soap opera on Real Madrid's doorstep once again

It’s been a month and a half since the last transfer window closed and Kylian Mbapp’s future is still in the air.

The French footballer, as he announced to his club, has not accepted the various renewal offers from PSG and the date is approaching for a new soap opera with Real Madrid, which will be reactivated once again.

If Mbappe still doesn’t renew on January 1, then the possibility of him signing for any other club will be open again. His contract expires on June 30, 2024 and since the feud between him and his club broke out, nothing has changed in this regard.

PSG lifted the punishment imposed on him in what many believed opened the door for him to sign a new contract, something that a month and a half later has not happened.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, have not said a word about Mbappe. Florentino Perez remains silent, but the players, on the other hand, have spoken out.

The latest has been Vincius Jr., who has made it clear that they would be delighted with the signing of the FIFA World Cup winner.

A key date

The key date, just like two years ago, will be January 2024 and it seems very clear that this time Perez will not accept anything other than Mbapp’s written commitment as soon as possible.

Therefore, there are only two and a half months left for the soap opera to return to the scene with the same protagonists, the player, PSG and Real Madrid.

It is also clear that it seems like this is the last chance for the footballer to join Real Madrid, something that, as he has expressed on more than one occasion, is his dream.

But this time things would have to be very different from those experienced from January to May 2022, when Madrid took his signing for granted and were tremendously disappointed with his renewal.

There are only two and a half months left until the soap opera is back on everyone’s lips… unless Mbapp renews for PSG, something that is not ruled out in this never-ending story. Madrid, meanwhile, are still waiting.
