This edition features 16 teams competing in 32 matches, organized as follows: Group Stage from June 20 to July 2, Quarterfinals from July 4 to 6, Semifinals on July 9 and 10, Third Place match on July 13, and the Grand Final on July 14.
Conmebol’s 10 affiliated teams are joined by six invited teams from Concacaf, similar to the Centenario edition of the tournament held in 2016, also in the United States.

Tonight, at 8:00 PM ET, the continental tournament kicks off with the reigning champion, Argentina, facing one of Concacaf’s top-rated teams, Canada, making their debut in the tournament. The event will also feature a special pre-match concert by Feid.
Argentina comes into the tournament as the leader in the South American Qualifiers, boasting an impressive record of just one loss in six official matches (in November against Uruguay) and consecutive victories in their preparation matches against Costa Rica and El Salvador (in March), and Ecuador and Guatemala (in June).
On the other hand, Canada qualified for the tournament by defeating Trinidad and Tobago in March and recently underwent a change in their coaching staff.
The new coach, American Jesse Marsch, debuted with a 4-0 win over the Netherlands and secured a valuable 0-0 draw against France in their last preparation match.
This will be the first official match between these two teams. Their only previous encounter was a friendly before the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, which ended with Argentina winning 5-0.
In fact, Argentina has not lost to a Concacaf team in the Copa America since 2004, when they were defeated by Mexico 1-0.
